Located approximately 40 km south of Lac La Biche, Kikino is home to over 1,100 members. Rich in Metis and Cree culture, Kikino takes its name from the Cree language and translates to 'Our Home'.

 

Kikino has a general store with gas and food service; Aboriginal pre-school 'head start' program; Kindergarten to grade 8 school; off-campus high school program; year-round campground with amenities; and various other opportunities and activities for both regular and new visitors to the area. 

 

As of August 2024, Kikino is now home to Alberta's Largest Red River Cart! Stop by and see the cart, we guarantee that it will be a sight to remember!
